Taken last Saturday (1/21) afternoon at L&D 14, a couple of the photos were taken before the clouds broke a little after 3pm (hence kinda gray). All photos taken with Canon 7D and 500mm f4.
How many eagles would you estimate were there last Saturday?
I would say the peak was between 2:30pm and 4pm, and during that interval I counted at least 10 BEs at any given time. There were likely more though flying around the area. When I first arrived around 12:30pm there were only 2 and those were not flying, one was in a tree by the parking lot and the other in the tree by the river bank. More flew in as the afternoon progressed.
I assume you have seen Larry William's "L&D 14 Update" thread, I'd keep an eye on that thread as Larry looks to be in the general area (I'm a little over 2 hours away).
