I just got back a stack of 8x12 prints from Bay Photo Lab, and I am blown away.
Does anyone else use Kodak Endura Metallic? This stuff is amazing. The black and white photographs have amazing depth and almost a silver glow. The color is spectacular with a wonderful glow and 3 dimensionality. This stuff is really a show stopper.
One question about print sizes, What are your favorite for showing off?
I love 2:3, so naturally I chose 8x12. does anyone else use 6x9?
It's a beautiful paper that I haven't used in a while. I may for an upcoming exhibit.
Ratios I usually use are 1;1, 4:5, 2:3, 5:7, 16:9. It all depends on the image. Panos don't fit neatly into any standard ratio, so whatever the shot requires...
I really enjoy Endura Metallic. Though, it doesn't work for every image for me. I print odd sizes. I don't like cropping my photos to fit. So I'll add a white border so it'll fit their offered sizes and do custom matting and framing from documounts.
