This photo was taken just after the shadow of the sun covered most of the West Pond of Jamaica Bay Here in New York City. The geese had just taken off and were still too low to reach the last rays of sun coming over the trees. The icy lake is just visible in the background.
Morris, I think that one trait of that photography type is that it may convey a certain atmosphere or ambiance....to some. Then, as a whole, the image might mean something to some people and nothing to others. Art is often that way in its effects.
My hat off to you for the courage to depart from common bird photography cliches.
I really like the feeling of motion displayed here, Morris. Though I agree with Tim, I would have preferred it if that back Canada Goose wasn't an amputee.
