It looks like digging through the HD on a cold day payed off for you Brian. The peekaboo of 3 really demonstrates how well these guys blend in. You captured all of the mischief with that expression on the Jay. I too like the Quail the best.
Thank you everyone for looking
i'd rather of been out taking pics and had it planned but, woke up early, looked at the thermometer and seen -29 (-39 with wind chill) and all the frost covering everything and decided my warm bed would be more comfy
A very nice set, as others have noted, great attention to detail.
Not sure if you're looking for critique, but I'll offer it anyway. Watch your sky exposure. The first, fifth, and possibly the sixth are shot against white sky. I find it helpful in PP to create a Brightness/Contrast layer and then darken the layer until I find either the presence or lack of color in the sky. If you find color, you are presented with a different problem - how to restore the sky color without making the rest of the image look like deep shadow. If there's no color, well, white skies are white skies. This is not intended to be critical, just helpful if you're looking for suggestions for improvement.
The deer looks like it's shot against the snow, so you did a nice job with exposure and white balance on it - not so easy, great work.

With the quality of these I wonder what else you might have hidden away on your hard drive? Nice set.
