I headed down to Lock and Dam 14 on Saturday (1/21) afternoon. Extremely poor light with the heavy cloud cover. Decided to drive around and get something to eat. Well eventually a little after 3pm the clouds stated to break and I was able to get some shots off.

i really like number 1. he looks as though he is getting ready to catch a meal. he appears to be moving with purpose. must be hungry!

Lovely series, Wes! Even the #4 Nello...

I'm with the others, #1 is my fave too, with the eye catchlight and look of concentration.

Great series Wes. It was also nice to see you glad that you made it there its well worth the effort when birds are flying, You really have that 500 singing beautifully
