I am going to purchase a Canon 7D for myself and a T2i for my wife from B&H photo. They offer an extended warranty from Sagemax. Anyone had any experience with this warranty? I will have the equipment insured so I am not sure how much value this would be to me. Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.
I paid $100 for a 3 year warranty from Adorama when I bought my 5D MK II. It was delivered in the first batch over 3 years ago, and has never missed a beat. I bought it for peace of mind, but would probably not do it again.

Unlike aftermarket warranties that just extend the life of the original manufacturer's warranty (which some credit cards do, BTW) the Sagemax warranty also protects from some acts of carelessness, gravity and other tragedies not covered by the manufacturer's warranty at all. Whether this is useful for you, only you can judge.
