I have a long Red Wing zippered bag in black with two carry type handles which are sewn onto the outside. The logo on the side is such; R is red, W is red. The rest of the letters are white to make the total word read; Red Wing. The bag is around 36 inches long and is suitable for a tripod, lightstands or umbrellas. I got this bag in a Chicago camera store years ago. I cannot find another, which I would like to do. The current company, located in Holland, Michigan, says that is not their logo, nor their bag. Any thoughts on where I can find another one?
I just called Calumet Camera. They said that Red Wing used to be their bag logo so that they could sell them in their own stores as well as to other stores like B&H. They don't make them any more under the Red Wing branding but they do make their own (of which I have three of their 48 inch). They do have a shorter length bag like the Red Wing 36 inch. I'm confused. Is your desire to have the exact red logo bag or just a good tripod bag? I ask because the new RRS 2012 catalog now offers several nice tripod bags in various sizes.
