Actually, I did use a 400mm lens, and what you see is about 100% crop.

Tomorrow I'll take 800 + 1.4xTC and we'll see what happens.

Thank you Ron and Karl....now you have put lottsa pressure on me with high expectations......if tomorrow one of the local Ontario "experts" shows up with a boxful of mice, we might even have a chance.
