Can import from NAS and Backup to NAS, catalog must be on the computer.
Publish service works too on NAS.
I'm on QNAP TS-419P turbo.

I don't believe this is a new feature, as I've been doing this since LR2. The catalog has always had to be local, but your images can be stored on a network drive.

yes. I've been using a QNAP 409 since LR2 for photo storage.

'zactly right. I *do* wish the catalog could be located on a network drive...

that would require them to use a real lockable database. SQLite doesn't have that.

You can in fact stipulate concurrent access restrictions. The location of the database is not contingent on access restraints.

It can be. You just have to connect to that drive in a way that LR doesn't realise its on the network.
