Can import from NAS and Backup to NAS, catalog must be on the computer.
Publish service works too on NAS.

I don't believe this is a new feature, as I've been doing this since LR2. The catalog has always had to be local, but your images can be stored on a network drive.

You can in fact stipulate concurrent access restrictions. The location of the database is not contingent on access restraints.
