Alright, round two. A few more birds this time. I'll grab that 100-400 tomorrow and get you birders some pictures! For now, deal with these!

Snotty

peregrine falcon

A raven that the falcon was chasing away all day

Never a dull moment with the sea lions

A previous victim of the falcon. They don't like the wings.

A gull taking in the view of the north end

Sometimes people have to get creative with the nest markings

In order to tag the elephant seals the interns run up to them, grab a flipper, and use this think to implant a rubber tag

The most common bones found on the island are not of the native birds, but from chicken legs and pork ribs. They are scattered absolutely everywhere.

So, the white posts are indicating gull nesting sites. The upper two numbers designate the year that the individual arrived on the island.

I thought this was funny... There's only one freezer on the island
