Years ago a well-known photographer advised, "Shoot wide enough to permit different crop choices."
Certainly with still life images that makes perfect sense- with candids it isn't always possible.
In this case- I like your crop choice.

Thanks Charlie. I had plenty of room to crop it in many different ratios on this one, as is usually the case with my floral portraits, but I sometimes exercise poor judgement in how I manage those crops...well, perhaps not poor judgement, maybe more of a wandering vision of what I want.
I've finally settled on a concept for a series of shots that I 'think' might have a chance of being pretty cool, but it involves many images taken as a whole....
