I've traded a few times, always with established FM-ers with good feedback. I've received offers from FM-ers without much feedback and while they may be good, I don't have a good way of knowing, so I usually politely decline. The latest one I traded was .. I traded my iPad 2 for a Nikon 85mm f/1.8 plus cash to me. The deal worked out fine. Since he had 60+ rating here and I had 72 rating at the time, we cross-shipped. Sometimes, some trades happen in a way where the FM-er with good feedback asks the one with lower feedback to ship first, and then, upon receiving the item and inspecting it, ships the item he's trading.
+1 Anil's reply mirrors my own experience here. GL, gotta love a good trade
Oh, BTW...if there's money due one way or the other, a check in the package keeps PayPal's mitts off your money.

I had a wonderful trade with an established FM'er for my 70-200mm f/2.8 I to his II. The cash balanced was PP's and crossed shipped due to my feedback and a phone conversation.
Dan
I've only done one trade online, it was here. With a guy who had very little or no feedback, can't remember. I suggested, in order to trade, he would send me his equipment first, then I would send mine to him once I had his camera in hand. Worked out very well for both.
guys, thanks all.
just a question...and probably a stupid one,
w/o just 'askin', how do i go about checkin'
feedback.
I only have 1 feedback, positive, i might add.
