p.1 #1 · Where did the 1DX price go?

Canon USA and B&H both had pricing and now neither do. Crossing my fingers my pre-ordered 1DX comes in less than anticipated due to the D4 release. Thanks Nikon!

It was quite expected that the new generation of pro cameras will be priced at $6K.
Canon went ahead of themselves with $6800 but this will very quickly drop to $6K and below.

Not only do I hope you get a nice drop in price but also that it comes in sooner than later and that you share some of your pics here! I am a little jealous, but the good kind.

Why would the 1Dx be much below $6800? Under $6K when the 1D-IV is currently $4995? Maybe if it was a cropped 1D-V. But a fusion body combining both pro product lines? Under $6000?

Users have proven to Canon they're still willing to shell out jumbo-sized $$ for the MKII tele's. Why would Canon need a lower price tag to induce folks to purchase their best-ever body?

Dream on I'm afraid. The 1D X is a lot cheaper than the 1Ds III was at release and on paper blows it out of the water in every area; it's already a relative bargain. The only slight possibility for a lower 1D X price is if the D4 is as good and cheaper.

Actually it is much better than the back of D4, as it offers you a great selection of choices in drinks, food, sex, jobs, etc…...
