This image has so many symbols in it that I'm not sure what is crossing over. I personally love a cropped version that shows the boy on the floating stones seeing the man coming out of the light the best. But I'm confused as to what your focus or meaning would be by the European style building with the asian tree with the multiple eagles, indian dancers, boy in shorts, does the man have a briefcase in his hand. Don't get me wrong, I admire your work, but this one feels like it got some of everything until I got lost.
Maybe a boy walking across the stones may be a good starting point for the next one I do. But I can't crop this one. Otherwise I would lose the shot showing sunlight and the stars from the early moring shot.
I will rework some other things and take some of the objects out.
I do have a tendancy of assing too much sometimes.
but appreciate the feedback.
I will post my revised version here soon.
and also see what other feedback may be.
I think input from all peope plays a hand in making the final a better image.
Good work. I like them both, but 2nd looks 'cleaner.' The upper-left-hand area of the 1st is interesting in itself, but did seem to distract from the rest of the illustration. Also, like the added tone in 2nd one.
Keith, my personal opinion is that the second image is more impactful by a factor of 2. Of course every change brings another thought, I might try taking the male figure out of the doorway to see if the child walking to the light becomes more of a visit to mother earth. Anyway, I really like the new version. BTW, the comet in the third version moves back toward the too crowded, too busy feel for me. It takes a lot of playing to fine tune.
