p.1 #1 · Upgrade from XS to T2i?

If it was going to cost me only $75 after selling my current Rebel XS and 18-55 Lens (replacing with 17-85), should I upgrade to the T2i? Main attractions: Video and higher ISO settings.

Or, should I put the $75 into a new tripod? I have one atm, but its annoying.

I would do that. The t2i is a vastly improved rebel over the xs. I had an xsi that I upgraded to the t2i and still think it was definitely worth it.

Which is more annoying, the tripod or the camera setup? the $75 into a tripod can came shortly again down the road. How about the other one?

Good point. The max 1600 ISO is an issue I encounter almost everytime I shoot. The Tripod not so much. I love the idea of being able to take video with it, and the video seems to be of decent quality as well.

Yes! T2i is a great camera and a great value. You should have a more expensive tripod than that -- minimum decent tripod I'd say is Slik 700DX with head for about $125.
