I think you have the right idea.
But the background is way too busy and distracts from the car; which, by the way, is suffering from a shallow depth of field and a tad over processed.
Aesthetically, I would turn the steering wheel to the left so that the right-front wheel faces directly into the lens.
Thanks for the comments! Not sure about shallow depth of field, I was at like f/18 or something ridiculous to allow for the long exposure. Definitely need to find a less cluttered background, or at least re-process & composite to get consistent WB between the strobe and the background. This was a proof of concept/trial run so I could see if my idea would work... will give it another shot in a day or two.
