p.1 #1 · Any barebulb ETTL speedlites for canon other than quantum?

And does quantum make a non wireless ETTL solution? The site is somewhat confusing...

The Q-flash, any of the models will do that.

Depends are what you're really asking here. Your question is somewhat vague.

To control a quantum q-flash in what quantum calls "QTTL", you need a QTTL module mounted in your hotshoe. Nikon = D22w-R Canon= D23w-R These modules plug into the q flash and give "ETTL" performance. If you want the flash farther from the camera than a bracket allows, you will need an extension cable or one of their wireless systems.

The FreeXwire system (wireless) works fine and will do almost everything Canon or Nikon will except high speed sync.

what I mean is qflash supporting ETTL and I don't want their wireless module since I already have a wireless ETTL system. Sounds like the answer is no. There is no barebulb ETTL system that does *NOT* require their own wireless module.

Yes the Quantum Qflash Trio (Basic Model)... I have Trio and use it a lot in ETTL on camera.

Thanks for the info Jim. $575 (rebate) seems pretty reasonable. Do you need to purchase a battery unit as well or can it run on internal batteries?

Yes you need a Quantum battery. No internal batteries. The Turbo SC is nice and light.

yes. you need to purchase one of the turbo batteries for the Trio. Which turbo model depends on your total power needs.
