Hi forum,

I want to buy a bp for my 580EX II and would like to know if there is any difference
in functionality and safety between the genuine battery packs (CP-E4) and the cheaper
off brand ones? The overheating protection should work regardless of the attached battery,
right?

I have two non CP-E4 battery packs for my two 580 EX IIs and they are working flawlessly.
