Quick question. What would you guys value a 5D classic (8-9K clicks) w/ Canon Grip showing only minor scratches to the hotshoe? Comes with everything in the box too. I was approached to do a trade for my 100-400 (that I'm selling) by someone selling their 5D and will include cash.
I paid $950 shipped and PP'd for one with under 3k on the shutter, no grip, spare battery and minor hot shoe brassing. Included box and manuals. OPerates flawlessly and is in otherwise excellent condition.
I've seen 5D body's in decent shape selling for $600-$700 locally. I seriously think anything in the $900 price range is excessive. Gotta think once that 5D Mark III comes out you should expect to be seeing them in $400-$700 range. Then we'll see the 5D Mark II selling in the 1200-1400 range.
In Seattle on CL, I have been seeing them go for around $900 (tend to look at this 1-3 times a day over the last 6 months). Any priced below that seem to be gone fast. Had to say what people are actually payIng though.
Havent checked recently but I did my research when I sold my 5D this summer. I assume prices have dropped some since, as the 5D MKII has dropped a couple of hundred or so.
All depends on clicks, shape its in, reliability of seller, but I'd say $800-900+

I paid $1100 for mine, bought it off here 2 years ago. I dont know how many clicks it had, but it has worked flawless since then. I have put over 20k on it.
Hell, I've paid about a year and a half ago, 1100 $ on a 5Dc with 381.00 clicks with battery ,charger,neckstrap,front cap.
So probably I got the worse deal on a 5Dc ever (of course, didn't know the no. of clicks but after I had it sent to Canon for checking and for calibration with the 24-70 2.8L )
After finding out that it had 381.000 clicks I 'persuaded' the seller to give me back about 180 $
Sold the body 3 months ago (it surely had over 460.000 clicks) for 820 $
Where I live...people are asking insane prices for used 5Dc , 5D II, not to mention 1D III or 1DII ...

Ones in near-mint (less than 1,000 clicks) go for $1,000 to $1,200.
Prices of the 5D will not drop much when a 5DMk3 comes out.
