p.1 #1 · Going rate for the 28mm f1.4D lens?

I might be selling my nikon 28mm f1.4D lens soon and I was wondering what the going rate was.
Has the value declined significantly after the debut of the af-s 35mm?
I haven't seen one sold here recently so I'm clueless.

1] $2200-2500
2] No. A dip after the 24/1.4 appeared.
3] Lensrentals.com was selling two just the other week, rated 8/10 in condition for $2400 each. One is still listed at that price (http://www.lensrentals.com/buy/nikon-28mm-f1.4d-af-serial-number-206857).

I think a more realistic price is around 2k depending on condition

Unless in absolute mint condition with box, I have rarely seen a 28 F1.4 gone for much more than 2K on eBay lately. Factor in the ebay fees+PP, I'd say if you could sell it for 2K is a great deal.

My friend just won one on ebay for around 1800.

Private vendors usually warranty theirs for some set time; Lensrentals.com gives you 90 days and will provide a 3-day inspection period. Hence the premium.

$1800 is a very nice price.
