I've read forums where people mention the ability to print large prints, like a 16x36, from the Epson 3880. How is this done, and where does one find photo paper in this size? Are people just buying roll paper and cutting into sheets on their own?
Yep, do it all the time. Love Red River paper. Red River will custom cut paper but it's way cheaper to just buy 17 inch roll paper and do it yourself (I bought a 18 inch paper cutter for something like $60- can't remember exactly). I find that feeding through rear paper manual feed works best. Just set up custom paper size. The absolute max length for 3880 is something like 37 inches without additional software. You can even print roll canvas (I use Epson exhibition matt canvas) but it's a little trickier. Basically you have to tape a paper "leader" on the canvas to get it to feed into manual feed slot.
