p.1 #1 · 5D MK II Live view doesn't fire pc sync???

What's going on? Neither the pc sync nor the hot shoe to pc sync adapter will fire. I can fire a 580ex in the hotshoe but that doesn't help me when syncing with manual/studio flash.

You have to change the Live View silent shooting mode to "disable" to get external flashes to work. Check pages 113-114 of the English language (2nd edition) of your owners manual for details.
