p.1 #1 · 7d and 50/1.4 for head and shoulders

Have any of you used the 7D and 50/1.4 for head and should shots.

I'm thinking about picking this lens up for its lightweight and a variety of uses but of most interest is how well it works for head and shoulder portraits.

If you have images to share, I'd love to see them.

85mm might be better for head and shoulders.

I shoot an 85mm for headshots on my 7D. I'd love the 85L but the 85 f1.8 that I've got is still awesome

Yes, the 50 1.4 will be fine for headshots. I'd done a few with my 7D and 50 1.8 when I still owned it, and have done a few iwth my 50 2.5
