p.1 #1 · D7000 wouldn't turn off today?

I was out shooting birds today and when I turned off my D7000 the display on the top LCD as well as the display in the viewfinder would not go away when I switched it to off. The only thing that seemed to be turned off was autofocus. The problem went away a while later. Anybody ever heard of this happening?

Is it possible it was still writing what was in the buffer, to the card? Only thing I can think of.

This happened to me once with mine. I pulled the battery after a bit. Didn't happen again. When I sent it to Nikon for AF adjust I mentioned it. Has not done it ever again.

theres a whole thread about the same problem at nikonians, most everyone seemed to have fixed it by pulling out the SD card and reseating it

Same thing happened with my D7000 a couple weeks ago. Found an internet thread that suggested reseating the SD card(s), which worked. Problem went away after reseating and hasn't returned.

I updated my firmware and formatted my SD cards...hope it doesn't come back now!

did you update the firmware?

I was having all sorts of SD card related issues before the update.

Now they seem to have all been fixed!
