Hi Greg,

I prefer the composition of the first one and the darker high lights of the second image.
Both have some great detail.

Excellent question Lazlo! I'll make some adjustment to one of them and post it. But I got to tell you, after working so hard to get the lighting just right to capture the details and texture, it may be hard for me to do it!

Greg, I think it might work, but you have gone just a bit too far the other direction and it lost the punch .
I think it is probably between the original and the new version ( at least for my taste)

Gorgeous images, and I really like the tight crop on these. My personal preference is the original two you presented over the softer version.
