p.1 #1 · Konica Hexanon 400mm f4.5

I picked up this lens recently along with some other stuff and am thinking of selling but I'm having a hard time figuring out what it's worth. Anyone have any thoughts? It's a Konica Hexanon 400mm f4.5, EX+ condition, converted to OM mount.

Try searching Ebay's Completed listings in their advanced search. You may also try to find similar lenses at sites like B&H or Adorama.

Thanks Thomas, but tried that and pretty much drawing a blank. One listed at $1500 and one at $1200 but no sales.

i saw them on keh for a little under $400 a couple times, the OM mount should increase the price a fair bit though since you can actually use it now on modern dslrs.

I've seen it around ~350, but OM mount is attractive.

I briefly had this lens........and sold it for $375.

Its performance was greatly overshadowed by the Konica UC 400mm f/5.6. That lens was a dream......77mm filter diameter and 9 elements in 5 groups. I eventually sold that for about 3X as much as the Hex 400/4.5 (4 elements in 4 groups).

As many know....Konica lenses as still greatly undervalued in comparison to more popular (discussed) alt lenses.
