p.1 #1 · Best Canon Christmas presents for less than $100

The scenario... You have someone you like for whom you want to buy a camera related Christmas present but you don't like them enough to buy them a 500L. They shoot Canon DSLR(s) and you want to keep the cost to $100 or less. What clever gift would you buy them? Doesn't have to be a Canon product or even directly attached to the camera but it should be photography related.

here are a few options:

off-camera flash cord
remote shutter trigger
nifty fifty (50mm f1.8 lens)
camera bag
lighting gear
monopod
tripod (though spending $130-150 opens up higher quality options)
memory cards
credit/gift card for favorite print shop (shutterfly, etc)
cash

X-rite passport.

^ Rongoe I agree with most of your items, but a $100 tripod is something I'd give to my enemy.

OK, let's add this caveat... the present has to be something you would like to get as well.

I'm not sure about the $100 camera bag unless it is a satellite one. Even so, bags are such a matter of taste.

If they don't already have one like it, the Canon camera bag is a great deal for $35. It's my most used backpack

$100 B&H gift card

Best approach - it's usually not a good idea to try to read someone's mind regarding what they really want (or need). Let them make the decision.

Wow, that reminds me of the good old days when P/S cameras had viewfinders.

True. People take worse pictures now, as they seem to get a tendency to stretch their arms while taking photographs instead of holding the camera close to body.
