I got to Hawaii on Wed for a vacation and to watch/photograph the pipeline masters. Wed night I set up the tripod and the BH40 lever clamp is a bear to lock on my RRS plate. I take a look at the lever and some how the clamp is bent and has a chip in the plate. It was on my Gitzo 2531 in my checked luggage. Never underestimate the capabilities of the airlines. I placed a call to RRS on Thursday, ordered a new clamp and Friday I have the new lever clamp. Delivered to my hotel. Thanks, RRS
I have ordered a lot of items from different US companies many times each year during the last 7 years.
So far, all I can say - no one handles the shipping faster than RRS. Last week I ordered from RRS Friday evening half past 9 local Europe time. The package was delivered by UPS on my door Monday at lunch time. Faster that ordering something from a WEB-shop here in Norway. The items were packed and shipped by RRS within an hour after placing the order. It is a pleasure doing business with them.
RRS is a company with great customer orientation - and great products. It's a good combination, they've always taken good care of me and some of my odd needs.
There is a box from RRS addressed to my wife sitting in the livingroom that UPS delivered the other day. As SWMBO has NO clue how to run a camera, and my Birthday is Saturday, and Christmas is less than 2 weeks away, I think there is a new ballhead in my future (I gave her a list of 'possible' gear, and phone numbers....)
