Quick questions: is it significantly easier to manually focus w/the 20mm f/2.8 AI-S than with the AF-D? I'm talking about feel, not anything technical. BTW do I understand correctly that the focus rings on both are quarter turn, close focus to infinity?
Next question, is it easier (should say, significantly easier) to set hyperfocal distance from the marking on the AI-S than the markings on the AF-D?
As to your second question... I believe the focus markings on all the Nikon 20mm lenses are the same so it should equally easy/difficult to set hyperfocal.
Just looked it up... The ai f/3.5 had more markings than the ai-s version but I can't find anything about the differences (if any) on the markings between the f/3.5 ais and the f/2.8 ais/afd.
