p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Best B&W printing without bankrupt

Hi,

For some time now i have been lurking around printing methods and hardware, scratching my head if i should try it out, or keep printing at the lab as i do. I am not too happy with b&w results from the labs i have access.

Did a search on this and came out with some pointers about buying an Epson and replacing the cartridges with Piezography ink system ?

Is anybody using this and can recommend me how do i have acccess to this in Europe (UK or PT) ?

A used Epson 2200 with this kit installed is a good choice?
I don't wish to spend a fortune, but would like very nice looking b&w printing.

I use the Piezography ink system from Inkjetmall.com. I use it on a Epson R1900 with superb results. Of course there is a learning curve as with most things involving printing.

Biggest issues I had was getting the printer to load the Hahnemuhle photo rag paper without giving paper jam errors.

Moving up to the CIS system because I have to refill some of the cartridges after about 3 13x19 prints and that gets to be a pain.

Not sure about shipping to EU. Best to email support at inkjetmall.

Good luck!

You might check out Dalmation Labs as a prelude to jumping in to your own printing.

They run the gamut from DIY upload to full on custom work. I've not used them yet, but from the samples they've sent me, and speaking with them on the phone they're definitely on my radar.

Give them a call.

Ooooops, guess I should've read the OP better @ UK/PT.
