p.1 #1 · Blurry Left Side

In the automatic setting, with my Speedlite 420EX when I take family or large group shots the left side of the pictures are blurred. Is it time to throw out the lens or am I doing something wrong? Canon Rebel XT with Canon 18-55 mm lens. Close up are fine. I might have to go to Photo 101

Cheap lenses are often out of whack. However, you should make sure that the subject distances are equal.

Same thing started to happen to my Canon L series lens... had to send it in for re-calibration and they confirmed the elements had become misaligned.

Samething happened on my 16-35mm. Elements were out of whack. They fixed AOK! Very easy to confirm.
