I bought this. It was $22.50 shipped to the USA. Looked well made. Great feedback from the seller. Took a few weeks to receive it and when I opened the envelope I was very pleasantly surprised. Very good build quality!
I got home and tried to put my camera on and the arca swiss plate on my camera wouldn't fit. Turns out this ballhead uses a smaller arca-swiss look-alike that is incompatible (too small) for the standard arca swiss plate.
I bought it for a 2lb travel tripod I bought which had an even more crappy ballhead than the $22 one. I have an acratech ballhead so I think I can hang here with the cork-sniffers. No need to make nasty comments to those trying to save money on a purchase or two.

I'm at work and can't open the URL, so I'll chance what is probably a stupid question: Are you sure that there's no adjustment wheel to set the pre-closure width of the head? Look down from the top.
Some of you guys kill me. You'd spend $300 for a ballhead to sit on a tabletop tripod to sit in your jaguar...
This place reminds me of the guitar forums where a Les Paul isn't good enough so they have to spend $10,000 on a hand made boutique version and then spend all their time waxing poetic about the build quality and shimmer of the wood.

Jack - Your threads lately don't give you a lot of credibility to judge equipment or the members on this board. Instead of throwing stones, I'd much rather hear about the gear you do like, pictures you've taken or pretty much anything other than your recent contributions...
I'll only review stuff that costs more than $300 from now on.

It's rather funny that you compare your $ 22 ballhead with a Les Paul

i like the Moog Paul Vo E1 Guitar. even the production run version is a thing of beauty in both sight and especially sound
