Only had this lens a week so still getting to grips with it. Yes it only has one focal length but its gonna take me a while to learn to use this lens properly.
Grabbed a couple of snaps at my parents this afternoon. Man I love this lens....

thanks for showing us fellow D7000 owners what this lens can do on this camera. Love the sharpness it has on our crop sensors. nice shots.
Its incredibly sharp as you would expect. Can't wait to get it on a FF body though. The extra level of detail is staggering on FX, but still worth it on DX.

I don't think this makes sense. The extra detail should show MORE on a crop sensor, right?
The D7000 is 16 MP. The D700 is 5MP in crop mode, which uses the same area of the lens as the D7000. So, with the crop sensor camera, you are going to see more detail in that area as long as the lens is good enough, right?

As stated above mate. The 24mm f1.4G is really designed for FX cameras and the image quality will be so much more sharper and refined than when used on a DX body.
I used to use a lot of Canon 'L' glass on a 40D and was always blown away with the results. But when I got my 5D mk2 I was gobsmacked at how superior the images were on full frame. I cannot tell you just how much of a difference full frame makes. It will blow your mind.
