Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has seen this happen ? I have 3 x older PW Multimax's (before usb port), they are on v4.04 firmware. Tonight, I plugged a trigger cable into Port 2 from an old Bron pack and now it won't go into RX mode.. I move the switch from off to RX, tried going to TX and back to RX but no joy :-(

Tried pulling the batteries out for a while and installing new ones -X-

I may have had a small short when plugging the cable but it could just be coincidence too... I mean they almost always trigger any light when you plug the miniphone, even 580's etc.. The other units are still working fine and fire the pack no problems ?? It seems to work fine in TX mode, just can't get it to RX.

Is it dead or something I might be missing ?

Sounds like the board is messed up..I have a few MultiMax, some have minor issues and couldn't be fixed by switching on/off-seems like MM are more prone to issues than the Plus II. You should call PocketWizard and let them advise you on what may be wrong. If a repair is needed, you can then better decide if you want PocketWizard to repair it, or want to take a chance on buying a circuit board off of ebay.

Thanks, I'll give them a call and see if they'll assist. I did buy them 2nd hand but hope I can at least get advise.

400d, I do need CE ones, but will search depending on what PW have to say

Have you tried resetting to factory defaults - turning unit off then powering up holding the C button down?

I did do that last night but not sure which unit I did it on... Will have another shot tonight on the troubled unit.. thanks

For anyone interrested, the reset worked but I had to do it twice. First time, it went to RX for only about a minute, second time seems to be working now. Thanks
