p.1 #1 · Lens: Internal cleaning?

Hi, i recently purchased an 85mm f1.2 and it has some internal debris. Has anyone tried cleaning internally and if so is there any guides anywhere?

Also does any one know what the cost would be at Canon to do this type of work?

I used to clean 85L by removing the rear element and that's where all the dust used to collect. I would not touch anything else unless you know what you are doing.

Thanks, it is the rear element that needs some attention! Do you have any info on this?

Not really. You can't fully remove the rear element because there are wires connecting it to the body. I've used a regular microfiber cloth and it worked perfectly. Just be careful not to scratch it and you should be fine.
