A shutter count of 33k isn't an issue for a D70. But you do have to consider that the D70 is 7-8 years old now, which is ancient for a DSLR and there are problems other than the shutter mechanism that can arise. It's still capable of very nice photos. In fact, I own one still with no plans of letting it go. But, anything over about $200 is gonna be too much for such an old body, so if it's 100% functional and he can get it dirt cheap, great. If not, I would pass.

I also think that it's age might be the biggest issue. Guy is selling this one with some Sigma 18-125 and price is little bit more than $200, but still very cheap. Anyway, i suggested trying to search for something newer.
