I have been playing around last weekend with my new 1.4 TC on my Nikon 70-300 VR.
It's for sure not a killer combo but I think I will be happy for a while.
All shot with Nikon D7k and only very minor cropping.
Thanks for looking.
Chris
The shots seem to be coming out nice and sharp Chris.
I haven't got out to shoot in Geneva for a couple of weeks.
Very bad weather and very few birds left.
Martin
Big congrats on the new small toy Chris! I'm sure you'll love the extra reach that you now have. Great job on the ole 26 you exposed that one really well with the strong back light!

Thank you Martin. Don't start about the weather. Must be as bad as here.
On good days we see some blue spots between the clouds. Now it's stormy.
Ok, last friday afternoon (the posted images) was very nice.

Congrats on the new TC, Chris. It will give you some extra reach that can you can surely use and still get some sharp detail, as shown in #3.
Socrate
Thank you Socrate. I'm pleasantly surprised at the gain of reach from 300 to 420mm.

Really nice set, Chris. Really like 3 & 5 What TC did you find that works on the 70-300VR? My Nikon 1.4TC does not fit on that lens.
Thanks
Birdie
Thank you Birdie. Glad you like 3 & 5.
According to Nikon spec their 1.4 TC will not match the 70-300VR.
That's why I went for the Kenko 1.4 Teleplus pro 300.
Everything keeps working and the exif data are corrected.
300mm will be 420mm and f5.6 will be f8.
