Looks like that one Tern came in a bit hotter than the others and toppled the piling

I really like the comp of the Pelis but 2 takes the cake for me. Excellent shot Randy.

i really like the tern flight shot in #2. the ones on the posts are fun too. in case you care, your photo #3 is of a brandt's cormorant. a pelagic cormorant would be more nimble and have red facial skin. your bird has the signature blue/yellow facial patterning of brandt's. great shot nonetheless! the eye is cool.....

Thanks guys. Thanks Dorian, I checked Sibley and youre completely right.

I edited the caption. Shooting handheld with a 600mm from a moving boat made for images probably framed not quite as I would choose, but Im lucky they werent totally blurry
