p.2 #1 · Looking for a little advice on portrait lenses.
The 24-70 is a beast of a portrait lens on crop. It hits all the equivalent FOV's full frame users prefer (35, 50, 85). My only other recommendation is to snag up a 70-200 f/4 non-is for cheap as 70-200's tend to be sharper at 70mm than a 24-70 at 70mm is. Plus if you're using strobes, you don't really need f/2.8.

Decision finalized. I kept my 24-70L, 50 1.4, and snagged an 85 1.8 for fun. Added Two AB800s, two cybersync ac receivers, a cyber commander, the vagabond mini battery pack, two softboxes, an octabox, and a beauty dish. That should hold me over for a few months. Thanks for all the advice everyone.
