p.1 #1 · Nikon p7100 auto mode question

Hey guys. I just got the p7100 and when I am in auto mode at night in my apartment, it is giving me sutter speeds of 2 full seconds with no way to adjust the ISO so my photos are all blurry. The same for P mode and scene mode. That doesn't make sense to me. Why doesn't the camera pump up the ISO?

Anyone else have that problem?

rather than auto mode, try the P mode where you can adjust the iso range and min shutter speed...that might help you.

i strongly suggest you read the manual on the camera functions and capabilities.

VR can do only so much to stabilize an image. At 2 seconds exposure, you have to use the flash or a tripod. Are you sure you are in AUTO and not Aperture mode?
