I shot some holiday photos of a friends child yesterday. I exclusively used the 85G for these. Very pleased with my keeper ratio with this and the D700.

Nice work, it's very easy to get a 'green screened' look using flash and shallow dof and you have avoided it here. What flash/ambient ratio were you using?
Love the backlight in 3, the last shot looked like it needed a little more flash.

Thanks. I had my wife hold a stand with an SB800 and shoot thru just out of frame. I basically shot in all manual, then would dial the flash after I got my ambient the way I wanted it. I chimp alot and rely on the camera's LCD to decide if I have the ratio how I want it. Thanks for the comments!
