Original does look a bit cool vs background which is likely due to open shade being 600° K cooler than sunlit areas. But taking it as warm and RustyBug did and you lose the color contrast between foreground > background that works so effectively in your original. Maybe try splitting the difference?
Had occasion to look at some old family photos this morning and saw one of our "family" mule. My mother was one of the youngest in a large family and her father born in the 1880s built the log house she was raised in on 16-acres north of Pensacola, FL. Quite literally 16 acres and a mule. The mule's name was Jack. It wasn't always the same mule over the years, but it was always named Jack...
