Seldom seen and photographed Zebra-necked Crane. Usually active during the non-golden hours of the day. Golden hour advocates deny it's existence, but here is proof!

I think it might be related to this Zebra Goose I saw last week

Maybe there is a Zebra Neck Disease epidemic amongst the birds.

I wonder if it's a mutation inflicted on Bosque del Apache birds that is caused by the constant focusing of light beams reflected from their bodies.?

This is quite amazing....for 5 years I have been searching for the lost stripes....and on my favorite wildlife photography forum I have found them. This image taken 5 and half years ago started my quest for the Raiders of the Lost Stripes.....now the zebras of the world can rest and be at ease....Thanks Norm
