This is going to be a long series of images of a click beetle that I found (Didn't know that they could be found at this time of year.) But I would really like to find out what the name of this beetle. The full body shots are really mostly for ID.
Some good shots in there - esp like #8.
Still seem to be rather narrow DOF for a bug like this. As commented in a previous thread, if shooting at or near 1:1 try setting the aperture to F22 on the Nikon which is equivalent to us canon shooters using F11.

Some nice shots , Julian. Do try setting your aperture as Brian suggests. You might have to decrease your shutter speed. Play with it and you will find what works for you. Just keep trying
