If you're waiting for the payment to clear Paypal why not just ask for a Postal money order. Not a 100% but much safer. Even after a Paypal clear your account the buyer can say he never received the item and Paypal will usually side with the buyer and give them a refund out of your account.
I disagree. If you sell to a seller who is PayPal verified and you ship to them with signature and insurance and they either say they never got it or do a chargeback, PayPal will protect you in those cases.
Generally as long as the online tracking shows it was signed for, you're covered. When the person pays in the transaction page you will see the shipping address and it should say verified and it should tell you if you are protected under seller protection. If not, they better have a lot of feedback here
