All NEX-5Ns do. It's a design choice they made, for whatever reason.

It's a great stills camera, regardless, and the video is perfectly usable if you're using an external audio source.

Nope. Mine never did. (White version from EBay). I've tried replicating the click in a zillion different scenarios and simply can't.

Like most internet rumors this one's blown WAY out of proportion.
