I purchased this ballhead initially, because I got tired of constantly adjusting ballhead with 3 knobs switching from side to side during a shot. Can get irritating for some.
It is made of manesium alloy for weight saving and HYDROSTATIC system which emulates smooth, controlled yet precise adjusting and holding strength.
Since I sold my Big prime lens I haven't used this for quite some time hence the spectacular current condition.
It is still as it was when I first purchased it.

Clamping power is INCREDIBLE! Turned to 8 strength this ball head CANNOT be budged a MM! This results in sharper pics hands down.
