Hey guys,
More of my stuff for sale...I have too much macro gear, so I'm parting with this set. It's a complete set, based on an EX condition Minolta SR series bellows, focusing stage, and 75-150mm lens, adapted to Canon EOS mount. Everything is *very* well made, and the focusing stage and bellows are driven by precision worm gears. When used with Live View, it's really easy to dial in where you want the plane of focus, then stop the lens down to take the picture. The lens is a telephoto zoom, which gives a nice working distance to the subject--shorter lenses like a 50mm need to be right on top of the subject at longer extensions. This lens will let you set up around 16" away, which gives you more room for lighting, and won't scare small critters away.
The focusing stage is built like a brick, and will support pretty much anything you could throw at it. I've seen this alone sell for well over a hundred dollars. The bellows is in great shape and light tight. Movement is smooth and tight. It will accept any Minolta MD mount lens if you want to try others. Any crop frame or 5D Canon body will fit on it without a grip...if you want to use a 1 series or battery grip, you'll need a short extension tube at the back to clear the mount (I have a set of tubes I'd sell if you want to do this). I also have a slide copier unit designed for this unit I'd sell if anyone is interested. Sample pics are below. This set will give a lot more flexibility than a stand alone macro lens. The lens comes with both factory caps, and I'm including a factory Canon rear cap from B&H. Price is $249.00. Shipping is $10 for Priority Mail. Paypal is fine...either gift or regular if you want to cover the fees. I'd consider trades too. I've kind of always wanted a canoe...aluminum would be preferred . Checks, money orders are fine too, they just take longer. First "I'll take it!" PM gets it. Oh, and it says I'm always "online"...I'm not, my computer is just one . I'll get back to you as soon as I can though.
PMs replied... Also, just to clarify, only the first picture of the chicken was taken with the Canon lens (I wanted a wide shot), the rest were taken with the macro set.
Im interested but have a canon system 5DMII and 1DMIII. I also have EF 180mm macro. Not sure I need your lens. Will your system adapt to canon lenses? Would you consider selling the focusing rail alone?
