All,
Totally new to the forum. My wife's uncle passed away and he had a couple cameras one of which is the Rollieflex SL35 ME camera and the Carl Zeiss Planar 85mm f1.4 HFT lens. I don't know anything about the lens and wondered if someone could give me some info about it.
It is made in West Germany.
Can it be mounted on an Nikon D80 DSLR?
Is it a good lens?
Should I sell it?
How much is it worth?

Its a very good lens.Depending on condition its probably worth between $600-$800.Not positive but i do not think it can be mounted on a Nikon body.Canon for sure, with an adapter.I am sure that you will get more comments. It is a well know lens.Nice gift

If it is the model that has the three bladed iris, it may be less desirable on the market.
All Rollei 1,4/85 have triangular iris. As have all Rollei 1,4/35.
