p.1 #1 · FS: ALL SOLD Canon 1DMKIIn, 100-400mm, Sigma 10-20mm

Well here we go..

I bought the 1D MKIIn for myself as a wedding gift to myself in November. You know, they always say buy all of your toys before you get married because you won't be able to buy them after! So that's what I did. I bought myself a nice shiny new 1D MKIIn. I love this camera. But now that I am married, there are other things in life that are becoming more important and require money. So I have up for sale my 1D MKIIn.

1DMKIIn - SOLD SOLD SOLD to Jim. To clarify, he was the first one to Email/PM me yesterday to purchase the camera. Purchased new in November. Perfect condition. 1055 clicks. $2850. Not much else to say about this one. I love it. I hate that I have to sell it. Includes everything you get when purchased new. I will include an unopened Sandisk Ultra II 2GB SD card.

Sigma 10-20mm SOLD (canon mount of course) $350. This lens obviously doesn't work so well on the 1.3x crop of the 1DMKIIn. I will still have my 20D and 1D (original). I find myself almost never using the 20D, and that means even less time to use this lens. I only used it a few times just never really got used to it. Lens is in perfect condition also. Includes box, caps, and everything that came with it.

100-400mm Canon L. SOLD $1200. I love this lens too. It's super sharp even wide open, no dings or dents or paint chips or anything. Purchased new in the winter of 2005. UPC is cut form the box for the rebate but everything is included of course. Box, caps, warranty card, carrying case.

Prices do not including shipping.

I'm in Chicagoland (Lombard) and would prefer a local sale, but I will ship also. Paypal will be an extra 3% of course. Checks have to clear before items get shipped. Sorry, I won't ship internationally at this time.

I've sold a few things on here before but not nearly as much as most. My ebay ID is tg-il. I'd really like to sell these items here instead of having to deal with the eBay scammers.

Please email me with any questions. Please buy these items before I change my mind! I want to keep the 1D MKIIn badly, but reality is telling me I'd rather have the money for other things in life!

I will post pictures by Monday night if not tonight. Going out of town for Easter, so I won't be able to get to the pictures this weekend if I don't find time tonight.

A lot of people are asking about samples. I will post samples from both lenses (probably not taken with the 1DMKIIN being sold, as I don't have any pictures with those lenses on that camera).

People have been asking about the sigma 10-20mm quality. I've read some people had issues with 'decentering' or some issue with the sigma 10-20mm. To be honest, I don't know what that is exactly or how to test for it properly. But I will try to take/find some samples to post here so you can make your own judgment.

Also, I did notice on the 100-400mm there is a spec or two of dust underneath the front elements. Doesn't cause any issues with the images of course.

Here are some links to some pictures I took with the 100-400 on the 1D (orig) and 20D. These are freshly converted from DPP with no adjustments.

I only found about 80 pictures I took with the Sigma 10-20mm and they are all family pictures that I'd rather not post here. I'll try to take some generic pictures next week and post them, unless I don't go out of town tomorrow as expected.

Ok, as promised, here are some sample images I took today with the 10-20 attached to my 20d.

There are 3 sets of pictures. Some of a brick wall, some of a parking lot and some of my neighbors house and his car.
By suggestion, I took some pictures upside down and then flipped them when converting to JPG. This is supposed to help determine if there is some sort of decentering issue. The wall pictures were all taken on a tripod, the others were not.

If you still want to purchase this lens, let me know. If something is wrong, you may be able to get warranty support. There is a card for a USA 4 year Service Protection in the box. It claims to extend the warranty for 3 years. However, it does mention that the card needs to be mailed 30 days from date of purchase, which I did not do. Not sure how well Sigma would honor the warranty, but I've read that Sigma is actually pretty good with their warranty support. I can and will provide a printout of the invoice. The lens was purchased from Dell on 10/21/2005.

All of the sample images can be found at http://www.darkside2k.com/images

By the way, all of the lens sample images on there (including the 100-400mm samples) were freshly exported from DPP without any modifications at all, even exposure. They were just opened in DPP and exported (with the exception of rotating some of them). EXIF info should be intact.

The 100-400mm lens was also purchased from Dell on 12/19/2005 and is of course now out of the standard Canon warranty.
